Ustronie Morskie and the surrounding areas are characterised by an attractive microclimate. It has one of the highest average sunshine readings in Poland. A specific feature of this bio-climate is sea spray which has medicinal properties with regard to upper respiratory tract treatment. The highest concentration of sea spray in the air can be observed during windy weather, particularly in autumn and winter, during storms.
Long hours of sunshine and beautiful weather prevailing during most of summer attract thousands of tourists every year.

Kołobrzeg

Kołobrzeg is one of the oldest cities in Central Pomerania and one of the most popular resorts at the Polish sea. Some of the most remarkable monuments include St Mary’s Church from the fifteenth century, the Powder Tower which is a part of the defensive wall of the Kołobrzeg Stronghold, the Town Hall building from 1829 and a historic lighthouse from the seventeenth century. Lighthouse in Gąski

The lighthouse in Gąski was built at the end of the nineteenth century. A spiral granite staircase leads to its top which offers a picturesque view of the Baltic Sea. You can see Sarbinowo, Chłopy, Mielno and Unieście from here. The lighthouse is open to tourists. It is located in the centre of a village. At its base one can find the lighthouse keeper’s house and a food and souvenir stall. The lighthouse is listed in the register of historical monuments.
